Eureka E10S

The E10S is an entry-level robotic vacuum and mop that is designed to take the strain of everyday chores while still providing the standard of cleaning you would are used to at home. It's a mid-range robotic mop and vacuum that is between entry-level models with tiny dust bins onboard and mopping capabilities that aren't there and high-end robotic cleaners equipped with multiple tanks and robust mop head. In our tests, the E10S was able to save time and delivered an adequate level of cleaning, though it requires a little hand-held maintenance to keep it running.

The E10S takes around four hours to fully charge however once fully charged, the robot begins to wake up and starts cleaning the home. This will give you enough time to complete your regular weekly cleaning session. The robot will map out your home, and then creates a cleaning schedule using the GPS of your phone. You can set up rooms and zones. You can manually start cleaning anytime by using the onboard buttons or using the app.

Our test participants found that the E10S is efficient in removing most dirt and debris, with only a few minor exceptions. It had trouble getting into tight corners and was unable to remove sticky spills. The mopping capabilities of the machine are restricted to one mop pad at the rear of the machine. It is not always able lift the mop pad if it is dropped on wood floors or carpets.

The E10S is an attractive well-engineered, easy to use robot. The base station is sleek and stylish, with a clear perspex front to discern when it is time to be empty. It has an incredibly sturdy ledge that allows it to stand on its own when placed on a flat surface. Unlike most robots, the E10S utilizes a best bagless robot vacuum multi-cyclonic technology that's just as easy to empty like a normal vacuum.

Dyson Detect

Famous for its TikTok-inspired hair stylists, space-themed air purifiers, and cord-free, high-tech vacuums, Dyson has now also entered the world of motorized mopping. The V15s Detect Submarine is a vacuum cleaner and mop that can be used on hard floors. It has two heads which include the Fluffy Optic Cleaner Head with lasers built-in for hard floors and the Digital Motorbar Cleaner Head.

Like the other V15s models, this model can be transformed into a handheld by detaching its main wand and attaching any of eight tools that it comes with directly to the dust container and includes a brand new anti-tangle hair screw tool that has 56 polycarbonate teeth that slice the strands of human or pet hair, allowing them to be easily carried into the canister rather than stuck around the brush head itself. It also comes with three power levels, as well as an efficient system to empty the bin, which keeps debris contained.

The V15s Detect also features an intelligent LCD screen that shows the mode you are currently in ('Auto', 'Eco', and 'Boost'), the remaining battery's life, and an in-depth chart that displays exactly what you're taking in - from large chunks to microscopic skin particles or allergens. You can set a timer that will remind you to empty your dust container at regular intervals. This is a great way to avoid overflowing.

It's also easy to use. After an entire charge, the V15s Detect takes only 4.5 hours to complete 100 percent of its runtime. Simply attach the attachments you like and press the mode button to start cleaning. After you're done, LEDs on the front of the machine will turn green to show that everything has been cleaned up.

One aspect that is polarizing about this vacuum is the trigger-operated on/off feature, which some find taxing for long cleaning sessions. Dyson addressed this in later models by introducing an on/off button that you can push, and a larger bin size which is a good thing considering how much debris this vacuum collects. The vacuum also requires a specific filter that can be removed from the base and washed under running water to ensure it is working at its peak.

Kenmore STRATUS

The Kenmore STRATUS is an auto bagless robot sweeper vacuum cleaner, which can also mop. It comes with a color-coded dust cup and can adjust its suction to match the cleanliness of your floor. It is not the most powerful or robust, but it cleans carpeted stairs well and is effective on many surfaces. The only drawbacks to this model is its small dust container and the battery's limited life.

Shark EZ Robot

Shark is a well-known vacuum brand that makes some of the most powerful robot vacuums available. Its AV911S Model EZ is designed to compete against top-quality competitors such as the Roomba i7+. This vacuum cleaner fixes a lot of the problems that plagued previous models by incorporating self-emptying capabilities and improved maneuverability. It also requires less time to recharge and has fewer recurring costs than the iRobot.

It is simple to set up right out of the box, and requires that you snap its two side brushes into place and place its dock station on its mat. It is easy to use, too it allows you to start the process, stop it, and then send it back to the dock through buttons on its top and through its companion app. It can be controlled with voice commands or Alexa devices.

During our tests the AV911S EZ performed exceptionally well on carpets and hard floors, demonstrating powerful suction and effective mapping capabilities. It's small enough to clean underneath most couches and tables and is able to return to areas in need of additional cleaning. It struggles to clear obstructions that are low in elevation, though, such as electrical cords.

The EZ Robot has a number smart features that make it easier to maintain and use such as automatic emptying. It also comes with a specialized neutralizer of odors. It is also easy to pair with Alexa or Google Home devices, if you prefer to use your smartphone to control it using voice commands. The SharkClean companion app is packed with features, however it is not intuitive and is prone freezing. The app can be used to change the suction power mode, tell the vac to start cleaning or return to the dock, set up cleaning sessions, monitor the status of the vac's charge, check its maintenance history, and even enable push notifications. To work you'll require a Wi-Fi connection with 2.4GHz. The IQ Robot comes with physical buttons for control, which allow you to switch modes or stop the operation by pressing the purple Clean button. It also comes with an Find Robot button that can locate the vac in case it's lost.
