This Roomba is among the top-rated vacuums available. It has the strongest AI obstacle avoidance we've ever tested and also mopping technology that has dual rubber brushes that are less prone to tangling than bristle brushes.

During testing, the i3+ EVO cleaned our floors quickly and effectively. It also lacks the superior obstacle avoidance of the top Roombas, such as the j7+ and s9+, which can make it more likely to run into pet waste and spread it on floors.

2. Roomba j7+

This is a great robot vacuum for those with a mixture of carpet and hard floors. Its most distinctive feature is its obstacle detection, which intelligently avoids cords, furniture legs as well as pet debris. It's also excellent at cleaning hard floors, and also picking up hairs that are stuck in the brush.

Unlike many other robots, unlike other robots, the Roomba J7+ has the ability to alter its suction power. This is possible through the app. It also comes with a good map editor, and a section to save your favorite maps. 3. Roomba i7+

The i7+ is a fascinating machine to watch. It follows a logistical pattern similar to how a lawn-care professional trims a field prior to an event. Occasionally it will return to its dock to empty its trash bin or recharge its batteries. Self-emptying features are a welcome change to the way that most robot vacuums operate and can reduce hands-on maintenance requirements.

It is equipped with a powerful suction, which enables it to effortlessly remove dirt and pet hair. Even on carpets with a high pile it is able to take care of the majority of debris with just one swipe. It also can identify areas with a lot of traffic and spend more time there. This is particularly helpful when your pets and children are bringing in a lot of trash from the outdoors.

Smart Mapping is another great feature. It lets the i7+ to understand the layout of your house and create a floor map that you can personalize while it vacuums. After four hours of testing, the i7+ was able navigate my two-bedroom flat effectively and logically. The app lets you further customize the mapping by creating virtual boundaries or giving the rooms names. You can set the i7+ up to clean the area around the cat's kitty litter tray each morning or to keep the sofa in the living room once everyone has gone home.

The i7+ comes equipped with a side-brush and an squeegee with tangle-free spin, which are both good to remove debris that could otherwise be left on the ground. It also comes with a battery with Recharge and Resume technology, so it can pick up exactly where it left off on a previous cleaning session when you let it charge.

4. Roomba 694

The 694 is a fantastic entry-level robot that will help you keep your home clean without the features that are standard on more expensive models. It learns about your habits for cleaning to suggest schedules, and works with Google Assistant and Alexa voice assistants to allow you to start cleaning with one command, and can be controlled using the combo irobot app.

The dual multi-surface brushes clean dirt from carpet and hard floors, while an edge-sweeping brush is able to tackle corners and edges. The battery can run for around 90 minutes on a single charge and when it's low, it docks itself back to the Home Base and recharges.

It is very effective at cleaning hairs from pets. However, some strands may get caught around the side brush. Its subpar performance on kitty litter is a problem but it still beat the perfect score of most other robots in this area and beat our most choice for value (the Roborock S4 Max) by 19 points. The 694 is a bit more than the RoboVac 30, but is more robust, needs less maintenance, has lower cost of operation, charges more quickly and performs better on high-pile and bare floors. It also has a larger dustbin and can be used without internet access.

5. Eufy 11s

The eufy11s is among the most affordable robot vacuums on the market. It's also a great option if you're looking for a reliable and simple machine. This model can pick up dust, pet hair and other particles on hard and low-pile floors. It also does a good job of moving around furniture and obstacles. Its slim design is perfect to reach under couches with low clearance, coffee tables, and other furniture, and it's one of the quietest robovacs we've test-driven.

This is the simplest model we've seen. It lacks features that are found in more expensive models. For instance, it doesn't work with an app, so you'll need to physically create the schedule with the remote control. It doesn't also provide an alert for the battery level or a dust bin full alert, so you'll have to monitor its condition and empty it whenever you need to.

Despite its low price, this model is still solidly constructed and simple to maintain. It also has a long battery life, and has decent performance on bare floors and in maneuvering around obstacles.
