They can also arrange for adjustments at work and in school to help people with ADHD to succeed. Employers can be flexible with the way certain tasks are assigned, or permit workers to take breaks when they need. They can also provide more detailed explanations of assignments and allow employees longer to complete the assignments. This can be especially helpful if the worker has difficulty understanding complex instructions or concepts. In these instances employers may offer to train the employee in using assistive technology to help him or her keep up with peers.
