It may be time to replace your SAAB key fob if you're experiencing difficulty turning the barrel of the lock. The procedure is rather simple and doesn't need you to visit a dealer. You can do it at home using just a few basic tools.

In the beginning, you'll need to prepare the new key. Before you start, disable the anti-theft by placing blocks underneath your rear wheels, and then releasing your handbrake. Put the key into the ignition and then turn the key to the "on" position. This will activate the accessories but not start the engine.
