If you're on a budget and don't want a stroller that can double into a car seat carrier the Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It comes with a simple one-step foot brake that's flip-flop user-friendly.

It's also easy to push and feels sturdy when you're navigating kerbs and woodland pathways. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned its reputation as the ultimate stroller that is light, ideal for urban dwellers as well as jet-setters. This is due to its extremely nimble handling and fold which fits in the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. This latest version features independent suspension on all four wheels comprised of Hytrel elastomer, allowing it to perfectly traverse all types and terrains'.

The bent fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 frame and 6months of colour pack come together to create a sleek pushchair that has a soft elegant look. The base frame alone weighs less than a kilo and is so light you can easily lift it out of the box (and do it using one hand).

The hood, for example, snaps on the YOYO2 in a reassuring manner. It is machine washable up to 30 degrees, which helps to prevent the stains that result from smushed rice cakes and carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as a pram. It can also be converted into a stroller at 6 months with the YOYO connect to additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great choice for parents who are looking for a versatile stroller wagon. It can be converted from a stroller to wagon by simply turning the handle, so parents can choose the option they want to use on their trip. The wagon can fit two or three children ranging from 6 months to five years old. It has a large storage basket that can accommodate all your needs when you are on the move.

The Xplore also has two canopies that move from front to back, ensuring ample sun coverage for all family members. It has a smaller footwell than other wagons. This isn't suitable for long journeys or napping.

The frame on the Xplore is solid and sturdy however it doesn't have the same flexibility as other wagons we tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and does not lock tightly when folded. It is easy to move however, and it can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents seeking a second stroller that's affordable. It earned an eye-catching score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and fold size that means it's light, compact when folded and easy to lift into a trunk of a car or closet. It also has an adjustable reclining seat that can be positioned in several positions as well as a parent cup holder. Other important features include two large hanging storage bags and 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

It did better in our push and turn test than many of the strollers we tested, but it is still difficult to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has were among the smallest strollers we test. They only cover the top rated single strollers and don't have windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have significantly larger canopies.

It took us under 3 minutes to put together the Delta with a standard manual. All of the components required tools. It's lacking some features that we consider essential in double strollers. These include an extra-large basket, reclining seats and leg rests that can be adjusted.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the most recent version of Maxi-Cosi's pushchair range and is described as an urban travel system. It's a breeze to manoeuvre and the one-hand recline of the seat as well as the huge shopping basket make it simple for parent-tots to get the child in and out quickly. This narrow pushchair handled all day bumps and doorways effortlessly.

The front wheels can to be locked in a forward position, or they can rotate. This is helpful for navigating through rough terrain. We let the front wheels to rotate on our walk along the stony path. It handled the situation well, even though it felt slightly more bumpy.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is most famous for its 3-wheeled, all-terrain, strollers that jog. However, they also manufacture a vast selection of pushchairs with four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most loved model. It is easy to fold and can fit into the boot of a car even with an attached carrycot.

It's heavier than other strollers we test, but since it has rubber composite wheels it feels sturdy and well-constructed. It's a breeze to maneuver across all types of terrain. It's easy to carry, even when loaded with two children and a shopping bag.

Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that can be removed to reveal the UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are water-resistant and durable, unlike some other pram hoods that are whipped back into toddlers faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space, but it does have a large basket deep enough to accommodate a changing bag or plenty of food. You can also use it with the Baby Jogger car seat for infants up 20 lbs (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you need a stroller that can be used on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first appeared on the scene it stole the hearts of parents across the world. It is an aluminium-framed stroller which can be used from the infant's first days until. It comes with a variety of stand-out features including the ability to flip the seat to be parent-facing and world-facing, a large UPF 50+ canopy that has a flip out eyeshade and a spacious basket as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are tough and filled with foam which minimizes punctures and the chassis has built-in suspension that eases the pain of bumpy terrain. It was easy to push and our test driver was able to maneuver the vehicle through tight streets.

It folds in four simple steps and locks automatically without fuss. It can also be rolled and repositioned for easy transport down the stairs or in the trunk of the car. It also comes travel system equipped with the ability to add a car seat or carrycot with the adaptors included. The brakes are simple to use with single action colored and flip-flop-friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget-friendly pushchair is simple to use and comes with an excellent dual suspension. It can be folded by one hand and comes with a convenient carrying strap. It's also extremely light and durable. The seat is reclined in many positions and comes with a built-in double breathable mattress that's suitable for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two big sun visors that are fixed or removed. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't ideal as it’s not as quiet as Velcro and could cause sleepy babies to wake up.

The Duet is a stroller that can be used side-by-side and can be adapted to accommodate twins or other siblings (up to a maximum of 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be set so that they face each one. They can also be set to face the parents. This can help to reduce sibling arguments over who gets seated with mom and dad. It comes with a big gear tray, a bottle holder and snack trays. It also comes with an automatic frame lock as well as a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.
