Slot Missions in Hogwarts

Slot missions are a great way to get gear, weapons, and more. They're hard to complete.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot allows you to bring pistols into the course of. Some players utilize this slot to achieve certain goals, especially those going for Suit Only. Others prefer to have the extra pistol as a gap closer. If you are using this slot, it's important to remember that you will have to click the corresponding pistol category button, for instance the alternate slot 2 for machine guns, in order to select the category of your choice. Major Expedition and Adept Rider are in use, making it much easier to use. This combo can also trigger a damage tick from concealed Weapon every 10 seconds so long as you have it in the slot.

Slot for items that are smuggled

The smuggled item slot a good feature for allowing players to bring in weapons and tools, but it could be improved with a better affordance. It's currently designed to resemble an a gun, which makes it difficult to distinguish the smuggled weapon slot from other slots for gear.

The smuggle top winning slots (Ongoing) are used to store a range of items ranging from concussion devices to explosives for weapons to more subtle concussions. These items are hidden in inconspicuous places around the map and can be retrieved at any time. Smuggled items differ from Agency Pickups or Hidden Stashes which conceal small objects in scenery and objects.

Mission planning is a feature that is available in episodic missions that lets players unlock different starting locations equipment, smuggled items, and slots prior to their entry into the map. These planning options increase as players complete challenges and obtain higher Mission Mastery levels. This allows players the ability to design the perfect mission for every challenge.

Gear Slot

The gear slots will quickly fill up in the early stages of the game, which will result in the frequently-repeated message "Your Gear Slots are Full". This message prevents Max from acquiring new equipment until the previous items are taken away or space has been accumulated. Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials are the solution to this problem. They give players more inventory space to complete challenges. However, as many of these challenges are scattered across the world and can be overlooked, it may take some time to get the most inventory best payouts slots available in-game.

Five Gear fruit slots can be filled with up to 5 different gear types, which must be selected from the Gear Selection menu before a break-in begins. Each gear item (except for the Pistol), takes up one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as the grouping of Grenades) only takes up one Gear Slot.

Agency pick-ups

As you progress through Mission Mastery levels, you unlock various agency pickups throughout the map. These locations let you store items that do not fit in your slot for gear or weapon, and retrieve them later.

These pickups can be very useful if your mission requires you to go through a frisk or you carry a weapon with you that could raise suspicion. You are only able to hide one item in a pickup location.

This DLC also includes new security and asset protection contracts to the agency. Contact the receptionist at the agency and stock up on snacks and other items. Then, walk to the mission marker and spot a group at the time of arrival.
