Best Lightweight Single Stroller

Travel strollers aren't much lighter or more compact than this one. Its sleek design is simple to fold into a neat rectangle shape and the wheels rotate more smoothly than other designs.

The stroller also comes with an ample storage space under the seat, as well as a shoulder strap to make it easier to carry around when you're not pushing it. But the canopy adjuster can make lots of noise which can wake a sleepy toddler.

1. Contours Itsy

The Contours Itsy is a compact stroller that has a variety of features for its size. The back basket under the seat is spring loaded, which means you can pull it down to stuff bags for diapers or backpacks into and it will then pop up to keep the contents. It has a child accessory holder and an adjustable reclining seat pad. This is more than what you get on a standard lightweight stroller.

It also has a canopy that you can open and shut to ensure that you get the sun protection level you want. The handlebars are height-adjustable to allow for a comfortable fit four different positions. We weren't so impressed with its performance on rough terrain. We found that the suspension and wheels didn't do a very good job of absorbing bumps and shocks.

The stroller is great for traveling because it comes assembled in the box. It requires only just a few steps to be ready to use. The seat can be pushed forward and back to adjust the recline. It's pretty flat. It's easy to fold and unfold thanks to two buttons on the frame. It also fits in an easy-to-carry bag when it's not being used. It's actually one of the smallest strollers that we've tested and can meet the requirements of many airlines for gate-checking, or cabin storage, on airplanes. 2. Kolcraft Cloud Plus

This stroller is an excellent choice for those who need an easy-to-travel stroller. It has all the features parents look for in a stroller. It has all-terrain tires and front suspension to ensure a smooth ride. It is also extremely lightweight, weighing less than 12 pounds. It folds with one hand and stands up on its own. It has two cups holders on each tray to accommodate the child and parent.

Its build quality, however it is a bit at the lower end and it didn't score well in our maneuverability tests. It also has a flexible frame that makes pushing it over rough terrain seem like lifting a huge weight. This is fine if you only use the stroller on smooth sidewalks, but for most people, it's going to not provide a comfortable experience.

The Cloud Plus features a three-tiered extended canopy that has a peek-aboo window for additional sun protection. Its multi-positional seat can accommodate children up to 50 pounds. It also has a five-point safety restraint. This is a great feature for older toddlers who have outgrown single infant stroller car seats.

It's small and folds up in a single wheel stroller step. It can be folded by pressing a button. It also has a convenient brake that can be operated by a foot, which is simple and easy to adjust and release.

However, the handle is lower than many of the other strollers we looked at and some parents may feel uncomfortable for long durations. The handle is locked in position when it's opened. This is a great feature to have in case you are going to be using the stroller over uneven or muddy terrain.

3. Munchkin Sparrow

The Munchkin Sparrow is the ultimate travel stroller for parents on the move. This ultra-compact stroller folds up and down easily and fits in the overhead compartments of planes or trunks at amusement parks (no need to worry about parking charges). It comes with a carrying bag that zips up for convenient storage. It can be used right from birth using the infant car seat adapter, and offers a good amount of sun protection by way of its canopy (though not as much as the Nuna TRVL or Uppababy Minu V2). The only downside is that some parents find the style to be uninspiring and cheap.

The BabyZen Yoyo+ is a bit more expensive than the other lightweight single stroller sale strollers however, it was created specifically for luxe urban and travel. It's among the smallest strollers that fold (and includes a convenient carry case) and offers plenty of storage space, including a cup holder. The seat reclines nearly flat for both child and adult. This is the only stroller in our list with an adapter for car seats to allow it to be used with babies. The handlebar is not adjustable and could be an issue for parents who are short.

The UPPAbaby Minu V2 may not be the lightest stroller, however it has a lot of great features to assist parents in traveling with their children. The large seat reclines to an upright position and comes with extra padding to make those plane napping sessions more comfortable. The canopy extends to provide a lot of sun coverage and the tray that is on the back provides plenty of storage. It also features a footrest with springs that doubles as a handle when folded. This footrest is prone to damage from baggage handlers.

4. Uppababy Minu V2

Uppababy's Minu V2 is a premium stroller that doesn't skimp on design or quality. Its compact design allows it to easily navigate tight spaces and narrow sidewalks and its robust construction lets it handle rough terrain without compromising the safety of your child. The spring-action suspension on the front and rear creates more comfort for your child, and its durable materials ensure it can stand up to the wear and tear of everyday use. Furthermore, it can be expanded to accommodate additional accessories like an infant car seat.

Even with a baby on the way, the Minu was very easy to fold and move around. Its squat nearly square fold which folds in thirds, is one of the easiest in our tests and allows it to easily be tucked away in overhead compartments of planes or in public transportation. It has a single stroller with standing board-action color-coded brake that is easy to use.

The seat reclines in a variety of positions, and the leg rest can be adjusted with one hand, making it easy to find your child's ideal position. The UPF 50+ canopy lowered quite a ways to shield Cora's face from sun. The medium-sized mesh window is magnetically attached to the canopy and closes without using noisy Velcro.

The Minu weighs less than 15 pounds and has an integrated handle that makes it easy for carrying. It also comes with a shoulder strap. It can also be stored in the trunk of your car, and it comes with a storage container and access to the Uppababy TravelSafe program that gives two years to the manufacturer's warranty and provides replacements for items damaged during air travel.

5. Joovy Aire

Joovy is the well-known brand of strollers, produces various models. This stroller is light and an excellent choice for parents who are looking for a sturdy stroller that can take their children. It is simple to move, has plenty of storage, and isn't difficult to fold. It's not ideal if you want a car seat-compatible model, or a double stroller. It isn't compatible with infant car seats. Your children must be able to sit up on their backs before they can use it.

This stroller is loaded with features and is available at a reasonable price. It scored a higher rating in our review of maneuverability than other models with similar specs, and is a great option for smooth surfaces. It also has a nice canopy and plenty of storage, including a large parent tray. The handlebar is a bit smaller than average and the front wheel suspension is a bit stiffer, but it is still comfortable for adults.

If you have twins or two children of different ages you may discover a side by side stroller to be the best single jogging stroller choice for them to travel in. Our favorite is the Joovy Twin Groove, which comes with a wide range of features and a narrow footprint that can be used in places that other side-by-side options can't.

It has a big canopy that has a peek-aboo view, and tons of storage. It's heavier than other side-bysides but it has a decent capacity for weight and can accommodate most children weighing up to 50lbs. You can also add an infant bassinet to the front of the stroller to accommodate infants.

If you are looking for a more luxurious version this stroller the Caboose Sit and Stand Stroller is an excellent alternative. It offers the same great features as the model above and can be fitted with a bassinet that allows you to bring your child home from the hospital in style.
